Shoenfelt and Huberman Advance to Regional Golf Tournaments

Olympic Heights golfers sophomore Jeffrey Shoenfelt and freshman Jordyn Huberman have both advanced as individual players to their respective Region 7 3-A Championship Tournaments after qualifying at their District 20 3-A District Tournaments.

Huberman advanced after posting a round of 87 at the girls’ district tournament at Delray Beach Golf Club on Tuesday, Oct. 13. Huberman is the first OH female golfer to advance to the regional tournament in over ten years.

Shoenfelt punched his ticket to regions by shooting an 82 at the boys’ district tournament at Deer Creek Golf Club on Wednesday, Oct. 14. Shoenfelt’s advancing ends a two-year drought for the OH boys team. Prior to that, the OH boys team enjoyed a seven year run (2006 through 2012) of sending a player to the regional tournament.
