Conor McGregor shows off his two UFC championship belts after knocking out Eddie Alvarez.

Irish fighter Conor McGregor stunned the world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting by becoming the first MMA fighter to be crowned champion of two Ultimate Fighting Championship (UCF) weight divisions at the same time.

Already holding the featherweight division championship, McGregor fought lightweight division champion Eddie Alvarez on Saturday, Nov. 12, easily putting Alvarez away in the second round by knockout.

The McGregor/Alvarez fight broke the record for the highest pay-per-view gate of all time. He’s back again and this time he is truly making his mark on the sport.

With McGregor now wearing two championship belts around his waist and his name sealed in the history books, MMA fans around the world are wondering what’s next for the champ. There is speculation that a fight with boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather is currently in the works; however, McGregor has commented that for the time being he just wants to enjoy his success after several fights this year, and when it’s time, focus on defending his titles.

Furthermore, during the post-fight press conference McGregor revealed that his girlfriend of many years is pregnant with their first child, and he is uncertain what that means for his future fighting career. However, he is certain that he has earned a stake in the company and claims whoever is the majority owner of the UFC needs to talk with him.

“I want the ownership now. I want the equal share. I want what I deserve, what I’ve earned,” McGregor said. He has stated on previous occasions that he deserves a percentage of the company’s equity putting some weight behind his signature phrase, “We aren’t here to take part, we are here to take over.”
