Cast and crew of OH Theatre Department discuss fall production of Lend Me a Tenor

The Olympic Heights Theatre Department has been hard at work preparing for the staging of its fall production Lend Me A Tenor. Winner of 3 Tony Awards, Lend Me A Tenor follows the hijinksĀ  of a 1930s opera company production wherein the world-famous singer Tito Merelli, known as Il Stupendo, is to appear for one night only as the star of the opera. Tito arrives late, and through a hilarious series of mishaps, he is given a double dose of tranquilizers and passes out. Believing Tito is dead, the general manager of the opera company convinces his assistant Max to get into Tito’s costume to fool the audience into thinking he’s Il Stupendo. Meanwhile, Tito regains consciousness and gets into the identical costume, ready to perform. The screwball comedy is sure have audiences howling with laughter.

Show dates are Nov. 1 and 2 at 7:00 p.m., Nov. 3 at 2 p.m., and Nov. 4 at 3:15 p.m. Student tickets are $5; adult tickets are $15.
