Are you destined for loneliness on Valentine’s Day? Don’t have that special someone to spend the time with? Don’t worry, me too; however, I won’t be sulking around all day thinking about what could be. No, I’m going to have my own sort of fun to block out all those bad feelings. I’ll make sure you’re entertained and forget all about that with this list of stuff to do:

Beach Day: Who doesn’t like a beach day! Well, me for one, but that doesn’t matter. If you want to have some fun time alone or with friends or family, the beach is a great place to spend it. You’ll get so caught up in all the fun, that you’ll forget all about Valentine’s Day. Just make sure you watch out for couples spending the day on the beach; otherwise, jealously may raise its ugly head.

TV Day: Sending all day sitting on your couch or lying bed watching TV. That sounds amazing. Falling behind on a show and need some time to catch up? Well, Valentine’s Day is calling your name! Word of advice: don’t watch romantic movies or shows. They’re no fun on a day like the 14th. I recommend watching funny movies like The Internship or The Waterboy. Or maybe if you’re into sci-fi, watch Star Wars. Personally, this will most likely be the option I choose to spend my time on Valentine’s Day.

Gaming Day: To the very tiny percent of gamers that have a special someone, you’re lucky. Most gamers in the world don’t have someone to spend Valentine’s Day with; however, that doesn’t mean you have to sulk. A new COD zombies map came out on the 4th, Apex Legends will be getting an anniversary event on the 9th, and Dead by Daylight got a Lunar New Year event on the 5th. There will be much to play on Valentine’s Day totake your mind off your loneliness.

Me Day: One way you can make Valentine’s Day a whole lot better is by improving yourself; then, maybe next year, you won’t have to read this list! Workout at the gym or go for a long run to make yourself healthier. Then, after your workout, don’t get sad and stuff your face with unhealthy food. Eat something that will make you stronger. For the extreme dieters, I recommend trying a Keto diet; it’s pretty difficult, but you get results very quickly.

Friend/Family Day: Spend the day with your friends, maybe not the ones with a special someone, but the ones that are like you…lonely. Play some sports outside, go swimming, do a puzzle, do literally anything, but make it legal, of course. There are so many possible things you could do with your friends that can distract you. It’s that easy! And if you don’t have friends, spend the day with your family. Go on a one-day road trip, visit the zoo, or do another puzzle. Again, there are so many things that you can do, it’s just up to you to make the decision not to sulk and instead have a good day.

So, if you don’t have a special someone this Valentine’s Day, don’t be sad. Having that special someone is a luxury many people don’t have. It’s like winning the lottery. You are just one person in a world of 7.8 billion people. One of those people will come around eventually. Happy Valentine’s Day!
