Kevin Hart on his way to becoming a premier comedic actor
Boisterous and comical, Kevin Hart has slammed his way to being one of the most well-known comedians of the young 21st century. With his stand-up comedy and smash hit movies, Hart has managed to appeal to wide audiences of all types.
Making his start in lowly night clubs in Philadelphia, Hart had a difficult time finding a unique style of his own. He was often booed off stage in his early gigs.
Inspired by comedians such as Eddie Murphy and Chris Rock, Hart began to infuse his experiences and insecurities into his act. “Because of what I do, it has to be an open book,” Hart says. “But right now this is a book that is being written.”
Hart’s big break finally arrived in 2000 when he was cast for a recurring role in the television series “Undeclared.” From there his fame began to skyrocket.
Kevin Hart continued appearing in small T.V and film roles. He has stared in hit movies such as Ride Along, Think Like A Man (for which he won the BET award for Best Actor), and the recent The Wedding Ringer. In each role he has brought his natural style of humor to liven up the characters.
He has even had his own comedy tours such as, “Seriously Funny” in 2010 and “Laugh At My Pain” in 201, which grossed over $15 million. “Laugh At My Pain” became the top-selling comedy tour in 2011.
“It’s shown me people really like me and that reason alone is why I continue to work as hard as I work and put my best effort into my craft, ” Hart said when asked about his fan support.
Kevin Hart still has a long way to go to in the cinema arena. However, with another movie coming out later this year and two more in early 2016, Hart has what it takes to become America’s leading comedic actor.
