The Admin Team at Olympic Heights is one of the best in Boca. This hardworking group collaborates to ensure students enter a safe and clean and orderly campus daily. While most of the long-time administrators are familiar to the OH community, some new faces have been added to the department recently.

Our fearless leader, Principal Kelly Mills-Burke is currently in her 7th year as principal of Olympic Heights High School. She was previously an assistant principal at OH for 8 years, from 2004 to 2012. She was then promoted as principal of Addison Mizner Elementary, where she led that school for 6 years. Throughout Burke’s impressive 32 years in education in Palm Beach County, she has also taught at Westward Elementary and Boca Raton Community Middle School in addition to Addison Mizner and Olympic Heights. Burke truly loves working with high school students and seeing their growth over the span of four years. Although she is dedicated to her job, Burke finds some time to relax. She is a diehard fan of the band KISS; in fact, she dresses up as Paul Stanley to attend their concerts. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Sarah Borah, the assistant principal of Curriculum and Academic Dishonesty, was

hired in 2012 to replace Burke when she left OH as assistant principal to become principal at Addison Mizner. Borah has worked in the school district since 2005. At Olympic Heights, she is the scheduling master: She ensures that students have all the classes they need for graduation. Additionally, she monitors class size, room assignments, and teachers with 6th period supplements. She is also the activity/calendar coordinator. She oversees the English and Reading departments as well. In her free time, Borah likes to spend time with her family and shop. She loves candy, and her most visited fast food restaurant is Chick-fil-A. Her favorite part of her job is seeing teachers make growth in their teaching practices. When she’s not checking passes for early releases at lunchtime, Borah likes listening to live music; she most recently attended Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Miami with her daughter.

Assistant Principal Frank D’annunzio is currently in his 30th year of education, and he has worked at Olympic Heights since his first year. His many jobs include campus supervision and safety as well as plant and maintenance operations. D’annunzio oversees two departments: Athletics and Academies. His favorite part of his job is where he gets to work with his amazing team that cares so much about the students. After long mornings ensuring students have correctly walked through the metal detectors, D’annunzio likes to fish in his free time. He enjoys a good hamburger and most recently attended a Zac Brown Band concert.

This year is Assistant Principal Hal Videtto’s 10th year at Olympic Heights as an administrator. Videtto enforces student discipline and assists teachers with technology. Grade reporting and overall supervision of the school fill out the rest of his responsibilities, though he enjoys interacting with students the most. Videtto loves good pizza, and his favorite movie is Superman. In his free time, Videtto enjoys spending time outdoors; specifically he likes to kayak. He also enjoys live music, and most recently he attended a Rob Thomas concert.
In his role as assistant principal, Joseph Leaming is a busy man: He oversees transportation, the ESE and History departments, discipline, and school improvement. Before stepping into this leadership role, Leaming was an ESE teacher and helped launch the Best Buddies program. This is his 14th year at Olympic Heights, and his favorite part of the job is interacting with the teachers and students. Leaming’s favorite movie is The Dark Knight. When he’s not helping students find their correct buses, he winds down from work by fishing and surfing and eating cheesesteaks and attending Mumford & Sons concerts.
Sarah Riley, assistant principal, began working at OH in 2012 as a history teacher. Currently, she manages the Lion’s Weekly, which is sent to the OH community every Friday afternoon. She also assists with monitoring the metal detectors as students enter campus from the student parking lot. She loves collaborating with teachers and staff. Riley’s favorite movie is The Little Mermaid. She likes to eat crispy Jamaican beef patties and take long naps. When she’s not on the intercom reminding us to have a “lion of a day,” Riley likes concerts and most recently attended Beyonce’s Renaissance World tour.

In her 25th year in education, Amy Denny is the assistant principal of adult education and supervises ESOL, GED, and community school classes for adults in the evening. Last year she was promoted from leading the ESOL department to becoming an assistant principal. She currently evaluates teachers in the ESOL and Fine Arts departments. She acts as a liaison between the custodians and staff, ensuring that our campus is clean and tidy. One of her most important tasks is handling leases from local businesses that rent our school facilities. Denny’s favorite part of the job is helping students reach their goals. To bolster student rapport, Denny occasionally shares tea with her students. She likes scary movies and salty snacks like Doritos, which is the key to her heart. For fun, Denny likes to sew whenever she has free time.
Rounding out the admin team are Nicki Spears, who is a crisis response teacher and assistant athletic director, and Bryan Lejeune, assistant principal in training. In Student Services and during lunch time, Spears ensures that all students are successful and safe. She loves to build relationships with students and athletes and watch them achieve their goals and dreams. After work hours, Spears coaches the OH varsity cheerleading team, who recently won the State Champion Class 2A Large Non-Tumbling Division. Spears also participates in crossfit and enjoys boating and other ocean activities. She unwinds from work by indulging in her favorites: watching Sweet Home Alabama and snacking on buffalo chicken dip.
Lejeune is an aspiring assistant principal. Before climbing the career ladder, he was a teacher and lacrosse coach. He always wanted to work in education, so it’s a dream come true for him to interact and influence students on a daily basis. When he gets home from school, his two children light up his life as spending time with his kids is always fun and rewarding. If he’s not spending time with his family, Lejeune can be found in his mancave watching The Replacements or a sports game or playing FIFA. He’s a big fan of French food since his father is a chef, and it reminds him of his grandma.
Whether it’s ensuring school safety or bolstering rapport or helping students and teachers, the administrators at Olympic Heights collaboratively create a welcoming environment for all who walk onto our campus. We are lucky to have them!
