Olympic Heights Drama Troupe 4992

“Every single year I grow more and more proud of Troupe 4992, and this year was no exception,” said Olympic Heights drama teacher Ms. Kimberly Coyle of her drama students after they took the District X Thespian Competition by storm the weekend of Dec. 1.

Out of our 34 pieces, Troupe 4992 received 12 Excellents and 22 Superiors. The OH troupe also took home seven Critics’ Choice Awards, meaning they we were the best of the best seven different times. In comparison, West Boca and Boca High each earned two Critics’ Choice Awards.

“I was under the impression that this would be a rebuilding year as we had 46 students attend and 24 of them had never been before, but wow was I wrong,” commented Coyle. “While I’m always proud of how talented our students are, I am even more proud of how classy they continue to be. It was fantastic to see the upperclassman set such a strong example for the underclassman. So much so that a judge went out of her way to tell us that our school raises the bar for all the other schools every year.”
