OH Theatre Department Presents Little Shop of Horrors

The Olympic Heights Theatre Department will be staging the deviously delicious Broadway sci-fi smash musical Little Shop of Horrors from Feb. 7 through Feb. 10. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind Little Shop of Horrors, which has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years.

Little Shop of Horrors features meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn (played by Joshua Mendes) who stumbles across a new breed of plant he manes “Audrey II” (Ryan Araujo) – after his coworker crush (Isabelle Eisenberg). The foul-mouthed R&B-singing carnivorous plant promises unending fame and fortune to Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it blood. Over time, though, Krelborn discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent toward global domination.

Performances will be on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8 at 7:00 p.m.; Sunday, Feb. 9 at 2:00 p.m.; and Monday, Feb. 10 at 3:15 p.m. Adult tickets are $15 and student tickets are $5. For further information, call the OH Theatre Department box office at 561-852-6680.
