Three OH Wrestlers Win Regional Championships, Nine Advance to State

The Olympic Heights wrestling team celebrates its championship at the Tri-County Meet.

Olympic Heights wrestlers Dan Georges, Laurence Kosoy, and Alexi Castro each won their weight division championship at the Region 4-2A Championships held in Jensen Beach on Feb. 27 and 28.

The Lions finished second overall in team standings behind host Jensen Beach. Jensen Beach totaled 221 points, OH totaled 208 points, and Palm Bay (Melbourne) finished third with 119 points.

Six other OH wrestlers will join Georges, Kosoy, and Castro at the State Championships in Kissimmee on March 4 and 5. Paul Steger, Ethan Altabet, Nick Peglow finished second in their weight division. Garret Davidofsky and Stefan Singer both finished third, with Troy Jaffy taking fourth.
